Mad Hatter: Would you like a little more tea?

Alice: Well, I haven’t had any yet, so I can’t very well take more.

March Hare: Ah, you mean you can’t very well take less.

Mad Hatter: Yes. You can always take more than nothing.

Visitors are invited to join the Mad Hatter on a culinary trip into wonderland at Blenheim Palace’s Orangery Restaurant this Christmas.

As Alice in the Palace takes over the State Rooms from 22nd November, visitors can add to the fun by booking a delicious afternoon tea with dishes including White Rabbit cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches on green basil bread, Stack of King of Hearts cheese and ham croque-monsieur’s and Cheshire Cat cheesy grin beignets.

Created by Searcy’s Pastry Chef, Renato Pacetti, sweets such as blue caterpillar éclairs, Queen of Hearts rose and strawberry jammy dodgers, Tweedledee lemon curd financier and Mad March Hare pocket watch macaroons are also on the menu.

Curiouser and curiouser, to drink visitors can indulge in custom teas blended by Jeeves and Jericho, Teasmiths of Oxford specially for the occasion including; Mad Hatter afternoon tea blend, Alice blend tea and Queen of Hearts tea.

Booking is essential for the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, with prices starting from £14.00 per child and £28.00 per adult.

Enter the magical world of Alice in Wonderland as part of an enchanting new daytime experience at Blenheim Palace this Christmas (22nd November 2019 – 5th January 2020).

Step between the pages of a larger-than-life storybook and into your very own festive family adventure as you venture through the looking glass.

Don’t forget to visit The Stables to rummage through the Wonderland-themed dressing up box where you can become the White Rabbit, Queen, Knave or even Alice herself!
